So, we’ve got a lot of opportunities to see some music this fair week. Each event is pretty awesome, so you should probably start planning your weekends around them like responsible college students. They’re all FREE and they’re all going to be great.
Thursday night, October 14 · 8:30pm – 11:30pm, the wonderful people at Lively Lucy’s are bringing us Jeffrey Jerusalem, Brainstorm, Jesse Malmed and Ramses at Falstaff’s. Check out the Facebook event page for more info!
Friday night, October 15 · 9:00pm – 11:30pm, WSPN and those same Lucy folks will bring us Paleface, Skeletons in the Piano, and Skidmore’s own Slim Charles. According to the facebook event page, Paleface is “great anti folk national act and part of the Avett Brothers crew!” Not to be missed. More info at the Facebook Event Page, of course!
Finally, the main attraction. Somehow Jenny and Johnny are playing at Zankel on Saturday, October 16th from 11:00-12:30. This is BIG, y’all. It’s pretty exciting, given the fact that Rilo Kiley is a premiere indie rock act, and Jenny Lewis is the group’s frontwoman. Johnny is Jonathan Rice, an acclaimed folk musician in his own right. They’re a thing, they love each other, and they’ll be playing in support of their new record I’m Having Fun Now. You can acquire your FREE tickets starting today in CASE.
